3 Lessons I Learned the Hard Way
Three (3) lessons I learned the hard way:
- A Closed Mouth Don't Get Fed: if you don't open your mouth, you won't get what you're looking for. People are not mind readers; if there's something bothering you or if you don't like something, don't hesitate to speak up for yourself, for it is you who determines how people treat you. Don't hesitate to outline the expectations and standards that you have set for yourself. You can't blame someone else for your desires not being met, when you haven't articulated what is it that you're looking for.
- You ALWAYS Have a Choice: you have the freedom and power to choose what it is that you want to do and how you want to live your life. No one else gets to decide that for you. It doesn't stop here. You have the freedom and power to choose how you raise your children, how you approach your relationships etc. We make choices every single day based on our preference. Life guarantees you the ability to choose what works for you. Choose wisely.
- Never Bite the Hand That Feeds You: don't criticize or hurt the one(s) you depend on most. The can easily make a choice to cut you off.
